Interplay Learning
3D simulations, VR, and AI promise to improve learner outcomes, but there’s no one-size-fits-all guidebook for how to effectively use these technologies in your apprenticeship programs. This session will explore how modern technology can provide more flexible and effective learning options for your apprentices. Discover how these tools can empower you to easily implement scalable programs, create virtual learning spaces anywhere, and give apprentices hands-on training while also fulfilling apprenticeship requirements.
CLC, WEU, DOL, DLSE, DAS
This will be a panel lead discussion made up of professionals from the California Labor Commissioner's Office, Public Works Enforcement Unit, US Department of Labor (DOL), CA Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), and Division of Apprenticeship Standards (DAS), shedding light on apprenticeship utilization specifications for public works projects both at the state and federal level.

Substance misuse remains the proverbial “elephant in the room” in most workplaces. Identify the challenges of behavioral health on organizational performance. The National Safety Council reports 75% of employers have been impacted by the opioid crisis and 8.5% of workers in all industries have a substance use disorder (SUD).
This workshop will describe the need for financial education. This emotional session will inspire and inform the apprentices you represent to take charge of their newfound financial position and get them to be in better control of their finances immediately and throughout their career.
Leadership Surge
This training session is crafted to enhance teamwork and inclusivity at all levels within construction job sites. Through a 60-minute interactive program followed by a 15-minute Q&A and discussion period, participants will be empowered with knowledge and skills to foster an inclusive work culture. This session is vital for strengthening our job sites by embracing diversity and promoting a sense of belonging for every team member

Leadership Surge

Combining principles of diversity and inclusion, trust-building, and effective intercultural communication, this session offers a holistic approach to leadership development in the construction sector.
Women's Bureau - DOL
This workshop will focus on ways to infuse gender equity in the building trades. With an unprecedented level of federal investment in infrastructure there is a unique opportunity to design and implement policies and programs that will ensure equity and inclusion in good jobs that pay family-sustaining wages and meet the demand for workers on a wide range of infrastructure projects. Through an introduction of the Women’s Bureau’s Equity Toolkit, you will gain insights into how to make intentional equity changes, best practices for targeted recruitment, and retain a diverse workforce.
California Legacy Well Services
This workshop presents a model collaboration project funded by the California Workforce Development Board under the California Labor & Workforce Agency. It will cover the model grant project and advise on other opportunities. The project brings together labor and management to solve a critical need for “gap” training for displaced oil and gas workers, existing Operating Engineers, and Laborers, as well as a pre-apprentice program for community members looking for high-road jobs.
CCHCS & SEIU Local 1000
Panel discussion where you will have the opportunity to learn about the Joint Apprenticeship of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Cal HR, SEIU Local 1000. Professionals of the industry will address critical nursing and allied health workforce needs of the California Correctional Health Care Services.
